Venturing Round Table - Second Wind Fund (Teen Suicide Awareness) - Wednesday, December 14th. The December Venturing Round Table is scheduled for Wednesday, December 14th at Hamilton Scout Headquarters, Dobbins Room. The session begins at 6:30 p.m. Our topic will be "Teen Suicide Awareness" and our special guest will be the Second Wind Fund of Metro Denver. Second Wind will provide a
short session about how to "be prepared" in our daily lives and

Commissioners & Program Meeting - December 21 from 6:00 to 8:00. Everyone's Welcome! Join us on December 21 as we wrap up our year, share good food (this is our Holiday Potluck), get updates on dates, places and upcoming events and vote on the Venturing Leadership Award Nominations - which are due Tuesday, December 20th, 2011.

FACT: In 2011, the DAC Venturing Training Team has trained over 200 leaders in 2011, both adult and youth. Way to go!!!
Venturing Leader Specific Training (VLST) - Adults - time TBD on Saturday,
January 14, 2012. This training is designed to introduce adult Venturing crew leaders to the basic information needed to operate a crew. The training is divided into five sessions: (1) Here's Venturing, (2) Understanding and Protecting Youth (Venturing Youth Protection), (3) Leadership and Organization, (4) Awards and Recognitions, and (5) Resources and Program Planning.
Venturing Leadership Skills Course (VLSC) - Youth - time TBD on Saturday,
January 14, 2012 (Gateway District - Alkire Stake, 12995 West 72nd Avenue, Arvada, CO) This course was created to help teach young adults the attitudes and skills that good leaders demonstrate. Practicing and mastering these skills will help enable Venturers to have positive leadership experiences. This course is divided into four categories: Vision, Communication, Organization, and Synergism. This course is designed to be taught to all Venturers and Officers in the Crew.
