Denver Zoo Lights: The Crew has attended the Denver Zoo lights.  Our tradition from last year includes getting dinner ahead of time at Mongolian BBQ located in downtown Denver and then enjoying hot chocolate as we viewed the lights.

Service: On November 12th, the Crew helped out at an Eagle Scout project to transform a graveled area into an area with stones.  The project went very fast, looked great and there was a great lunch!

Adventure: The Crew went Go Karting at Speed Raceway.  It was a chance to see how fast we could go.  It was a lot of fun.  Congrats to Anna who won both races!

Service: The Crew recently participated in an Eagle Scout Leadership Service project at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  We assisted in installing phases three of the sprinkler system for the Education Center.

Education/Fellowship: The Crew participated in the Denver Area Council Denver After Dark.  This years' tour included a visit to the UPS sorting facility, King Soopers Bakery, Denver Fire Station 15 and the Jefferson County Jail followed cosmic bowling at Brusnwick Zone.

Fundraising: The Crew partners with the Colorado Railroad Museum for their annual Day Out With Thomas.

Adventure: The Crew went to Heritage Square to ride the Alpine Slide.

Outdoors: The Crew backpacking at White Ranch Open Space.  The Crew enjoyed some hiking, backpacking, cooking, sleeping and run to town for ice cream!

Fellowship Weekend: The Crew spent a weekend up at Winter Park enjoying some skiing, basketball and swimming at the recreation center, some late night movies and some great food.

Physical Fitness: The Crew went skiing up at Winter Park over the New Year's weekend.  We had such a good time we are going back in March!

Fellowship: The Crew's last meeting of the year consisted of BBQ and a Secret Santa gift exchange.

Fellowship: The Venture Crew continued an annual tradition and attended the Denver Zoo Lights.  This has become a yearly tradition for the Crew to check out the lights and of course get some hot chocolate and a ride on the carousel.

Fellowship: The Crew took in the new movie The Other Guys.

Fellowship: The Crew decided to beat the July heat and saw Despicable Me in 3-D.  Very funny movie!

Adventure: The Crew just got back from its 2010 Summer Adventure.  This trip had it all: a full day white water rafting, bob sledding, alpine slides, alpine coaster and an amusement/water park plus a lot of great fellowship!

Fellowship: May is a busy month so we thought we take a break.  We went a grabbed a bite to eat at the Colorado Mills Food Court and then went to see Iron Man 2.

Service: The Venture Crew participated in an Eagle Scout Project at St. Joseph Catholic Church to benefit the Education Center.

Fellowship & Physical Fitness: The Venture Crew went bouldering and rock climbing at the Boulder Rock Club.  The Crew got th echance to practice climing, belaying and bouldering.  It was a lot of fun and the Crew will be headed back there soon.

Physical Fitness: The Venture Crew spent a weekend skiing up at Winter Park  Besides all of the great skiing, there was a lot of fun watching movies, swimming and eating some good food.

Fellowship: The Venture Crew went to the Colorado Mammoth's LaCrosse game.  It was very close game but ended in a loss by one point in the last thirty seconds.

Fellowship & Physical Fitness: The Venture Crew went to Fraser, Colorado over the Winter Break to enjoy some night time tubing.  Imagine flying down the slopes and what feels to be thirty miles an hour in the dark with spot lights.  It was a blast!!!  Afterwards the Crew was hosted by a family for some hot chocolate and late night snack.

Fellowhsip: As winter break approached the Venture Crew continued its annual tradition of attending the Denver Zoo Lights.

Learning: The Venture Crew attended the Venturing District's Venturing Leadership Skills Course.

Service: The Venture Crew staffed two stations, Root Beer and Funnel Cake, at the Gateway District Camporee at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch.

Fellowship & Learning: For the third straight year our Crew has participated in Denver Area Council's Denver After Dark.  The event started with touring an emergency call center and the Denver County jail and ended with cosmic bowling.  Mark your calendars for next year.

Fellowship: School is finally out for the summer!  To celebreate on August 14, 2009 the Crew had dinner at the Food Court and then went to catch a movie.

Outdoors: The Venture Crew attended Philmont Scout Ranch as trek 725-Q from July 25th through August 6th.  As is tradition for the Crew they experienced the rainy and sunny weather of New Mexico.

Fellowship & Physical Fitness: If it is July its time for the Crew's annual outing to Water World.  The Crew spent the day beating the heat by enjoying the lazy river, Storm  and all the other great rides.  Besides having a lot of fun it is always great to hear the advisors high pitch scream on the first jump in the water.  Other than the sun burns everyone had a great time!

Fellowship & Physical Fitness: After the Crew meeting on Monday, July 13, 2009 the Crew went to Heritage Square to ride the Alpine Slide.  Besides the fun of the slide we also saw some great wild life and a great view of the Denver sky line.

Fellowship & Physical Fitness: If it is June its time for the Crew's annual outing to Elitch Gardens.  The Crew celebrates the start of summer by spending the day riding the roller coasters, winning prizes and swimming in the lazy river.  As usual the event was open to all potential Venturers.

Service: On Saturday, June13, 2009, the Crew particiated in an Eagle Project at the Mount Evans Outdoor Lab facility.  The project involved the construction of two team building activities.

Physical Fitness: On Sunday, June 7, 2009, the Crew completed a 5.5 mile hike up the APEX trail and looped back through the "enchanted forest."

Physical Fitness: The Crew attended the Venturing District Beach Party where we enjoyed a BBQ, played volleyball and groundies.  Afterwards we went to Heritage Square to visit Mr. Diener and tried the alpine slide, go karts and minature golf.

Fellowship: School is finally out for the summer!  To celebreate on May 28, 2009 the Crew had dinner at the Food Court and then went to Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

Fellowship: On May 25, 2009 the Crew came together for Ski Ball, Dr. Seuss and cliff divers.  If you guessed that we visited Casa Bonita you are right.  The Crew had their meeting at Casa Bonita and after the meeting we played some arcade games (where we won Dr. Seuss hats, kazoos and more), went through the cave and watched the divers.

Fellowship: On April 27th hosted a booth at the Denver Area Council Scout Show.  We participated in the Venturing Area and hosted a booth where participants got to Fence.

Fellowship: On March 28th the Crew went to dinner at the Atlanta Bread Company and then saw the Lakewood High School production of Jekyll & Hyde.

Hike: On March 14th the Crew took an appromately five mile hike on the APEX trail in our continuing effort to get ready for our Crew Trek this summer at Philmont Scout Ranch.

Service: On February 22nd three Crew members and the Crew Advisor assisted Troop 613 in their winter Youth Leader Training which included a fun evening at Xtreme Arena Challenge.

Fellowship: On February 21st the Crew Officers met for their Annual Program Planning Conference.  After that the Crew went to Good Times for Custard, dinner at Fuddruckers and then to see the play FootLoose!

Outdoors: On February 13-15th the Crew participated in the annual Gateway District Klondike held at Golden Gate Canyon State Park.  The Crew members served as the Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader of Webelos and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader of Logistics for the event as well as the Crew adults serving as the Chairperson and Assistant Chairpseon for the event.

Hike: On January 24th the Crew continued preparing for Philmont with another five mile hike on Green Mountain.  We had a record attendance with all but two members of the Philmont Crew there!

Fellowship: On January 19th the Crew went to dinner and saw the movie Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

Hike: On January 10th the Crew started preparing for its Philmont Trek in July/August.  We took a five mile hike on Green Mountain with those headed to Philmont wearing packs with roughly 30 pounds of gear.  We also talked about some general hiking rules and safety tips when backpacking.

Winter Break: For a little break from the cold weather we went to a movie and then headed to Starbucks for some coffee.  We went and saw Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler.  Good movie.  We then went to Starbucks where we ran into the lead singer of The Fray.

Denver Zoo Lights: For the second year in a row, the Crew has attended the Denver Zoo lights.  Our tradition from last year includes getting dinner ahead of time and then enjoying hot chocolate as we viewed the lights.  Last year we went to Mongolian BBQ located in downtown Denver but this year opted for Noodles & Company.  This year we also added riding the Merry-Go-Round which was a big hit!
