One of the hightlights of the 2010 National Jamboree was seeing Mike Rowe at the 100th Anniversary Celebration show.  Mike told us about some of his scouting experience, how scouting has helped him in his career and how his TV show, Dirty Jobs, in many ways is just like scouting.  During the speech, Mike unvailed the idea "A Scout is Clean...But Not Afraid to Get Dirty."  He also proposed these 6 Simple Tenets in Defense of Dirt:

.) I believe the willingness to get dirty is a fundamental requirement of civilized society.

.) I believe that God created dirt – not cleaning products.

.) I believe that a clean mind and a dirty body can walk around in the same skin.

.) I believe that honest work looks an awful lot like dirt.

.) I believe that without dirt, we don’t eat.

.) I believe that it’s absolutely, positively essential to play in the mud.
